I dislike the man and don't want to have anything in common with him. He said he had nothing in common with that group. — Он заявил, что не имеет никакого отношения к этой группе.2. general — общий, всеобщий (в отличие от прилагательного common значение general ограничено общим соучастием в каком-либо действии; в сочетании с существительным knowledge могут употребляться как general, так и common, но значение сочетаний различно): general elections — всеобщие выборы; general strike — всеобщая забастовка; general meeting — общее собрание; general education — всеобщее образование; general debate — общие прения/общая дискуссия: general knowledge — знания общего характера/сведения общего характера; a general outline — общий обзор; a general hospital — больница общего типа/неспециализированная больница: in general terms — в общих чертах There was a general exodus. Our relationship was based on mutual distrust. Не said his contract was cancelled by mutual agreement. They were introduced by a mutual friend. We found that we two had mutual interest in mountaineering. Jane could not stand the sight of Lily and the feeling was mutual.
